REQUIREMENTS FOR AUTHORS OF THE JOURNAL “BULLETIN OF THE MOSCOW UNIVERSITY.

Journal Bulletin of Moscow University. Series 27. “Global Studies and Geopolitics” is a scientific peer-reviewed publication dedicated to the problems of global studies, geopolitics and international relations. The journal publishes original scientific articles, as well as expert comments, original educational and methodological developments and reviews of the latest research.

Journal “Bulletin of Moscow University. Series 27. “Global Studies and Geopolitics” is published once every two months. When reprinting a link to the journal is required.

The editors do not enter into correspondence with the authors. In all cases of printing defects, please contact the printing house.

There is no fee for publishing manuscripts.

Conditions for consideration of materials sent to the journal

The journal publishes scientific articles, commented translations, reviews and reviews of scientific events.

Submitted material must be original, not previously published or accepted for publication in other publications. All materials are checked for plagiarism.

Submission of material for publication means the transfer of publication rights to the publisher.

In the letter to the article, you must also indicate the passport number, by whom and when issued, address (place of registration and address for correspondence)

The first page of the article must contain the following elements:

  • surname, name, patronymic of the author in Russian and English;
  • information about the author in Russian and English; (full name, place of work, position held, academic degree and title, contact details (email address, phone number);
  • title of the article (in Russian and English);
  • abstract (180-200 words) in Russian and English;
  • keywords (5-7 words in Russian and English).

The text of a scientific article must include the following elements:

The main content is divided into the following sections:

  • introduction 1;
  • methods;
  • results 2;
  • discussion 3;
  • conclusions and thanks.

The introduction usually consists of four subsections:

  1. Description of the problem with which the research is related;
  2. Review of literature related to the study;
  3. Description of white spots in the problem or what has not yet been done;
  4. Formulation of the purpose and objectives of the study.

There are three ways to present results:

  1. text (verbal representation);
  2. tables (semi-verbal representation);
  3. drawings: diagrams, graphs, images (visual representation).

List the main results, regardless of whether they support or refute the hypothesis being tested, are in agreement or in conflict with the data of other researchers; summarize the results; compare results with data from other researchers; provide possible explanations for similarities and discrepancies with other studies; recall the purpose and hypothesis of the study; discuss whether the results are consistent with the research hypothesis; point out the limitations of the study.

Information about grants and acknowledgments is given as a footnote at the end of the first page of the article.

The bibliographic list of the article must contain at least 20 sources, 10 of which must be in a foreign language (English). It is given in alphabetical order, with consecutive numbering.

References in the text to the corresponding source from the list of references are made in square brackets indicating the number in the list of references and pages, for example: [1, p. 333].

The bibliographic list should be presented in three versions:

  • In Russian
  • In English
  • In transliteration

The literature used (author, title, place and year of publication) is given in alphabetical order at the end of the article. Literature in foreign languages is given after literature in Russian.

The article should be written in a language that is understandable not only to specialists in this field, but also to a wide range of readers.

The total volume of the manuscript, including text, bibliography, tables and figures, must be no less than 25 thousand characters with spaces and should not exceed 50 thousand characters with spaces.

The article must contain the following elements:

  • last name, first name, patronymic of the author in Russian and English;
  • information about the author in Russian and English; (full name, place of work, position held,
    academic degree and title, contact details (email, telephone),
  • title of the article (in Russian and English);
  • abstract (150-250 WORDS), (in Russian and English);
  • keywords (5-7 words in Russian and English).

Information about grants and acknowledgments is provided as a footnote at the end of the first page of
the article.

The bibliography of an article must contain no less than 12 and no more than 35 sources.

References in the text to the corresponding source from the list of references are presented in square
brackets indicating the number in the list of references and pages, for example: [1, p. 333].

The bibliographic list should be presented in two versions:

  • In Russian
  • In English and in transliteration

The magazine prints only two-color charts, diagrams and graphs. All tables, charts, charts and graphs must have captions.

Manuscripts are accepted at vestnik.27@yandex.ru in electronic form in a format not lower than Word 6 (doc, docx, rtf), Times New Roman font – 14, line spacing – 1.5, illustrative material (diagrams, diagrams and graphs) – are provided in the program in which they were made (in jpg, tif, eps formats). In drawings made on a computer, the lines should be bright (4-5 pix). The width of the drawings should be either 90 mm or 180 mm, and the height should not exceed 240 mm. The font of alphabetic and digital designations in the figures is Times New Roman, 9-10 point size. In figures, use only different types of hatches with a step size that allows for reduction, and not tint fills of gray, black, and other colors. Color drawings are not accepted.

Each figure must be accompanied by a caption with its title and an explanation of the symbols.

The decision to publish is made on the basis of an internal anonymous review.

The term from the submission of the material to its publication can be from 3 months to a year.

The editorial board does not process manuscripts from 1 to 31 August and from 1 to 15 January.

All publications in the journal, including graduate students and young scientists, are free of charge.

The editors do not enter into correspondence with the authors regarding the content of reviews and articles.
